Growing up on the beach in Australia, Amy has travelled extensively in the search of a community and lifestyle where she could settle. She fell in love with the mountains of Banff 3 years ago and happily set down roots. She found comfort in the seasonal nature of the Rockies and found that it reflected both the Yin and Yang nature of her practice. Having been to casual classes here and there after trying yoga while travelling in Bali, Amy first began yoga as a form of exercise. She really fell deep in love with her practice when she found it helped her get out of her head by getting into her body. With a strong love of pranayama for unblocking energy and connecting the mind with the body, she loves to weave breathwork and playfulness into a strong and heartfelt vinyasa style flow. Amy's classes aim to gather students to sweat, breathe and feel the energy of others, and her hope is that you leave feeling nourished, both in body and mind, and with a dose of inspiration.
