Lynda is a RYT 200 yoga instructor with Pain Care Aware (PAC) training. While she excelled athletically as a child and has always maintained an active lifestyle, she did not awaken to yoga until midlife. Lynda encourages connection and “connecting” in her classes and seeks both out in all aspects of her life. Her enthusiasm at hearing the stories of the people she encounters along her path, resonates in her teachings, and provides her students with a soft and welcoming place to land. Her classes can have a workshop feel as she invites students to find their own expressions in each pose and she does this by helping them cultivate an awareness of their own resilience. Lynda’s approach emphasizes how a pose feels in the body rather than how it may look; and she is open and willing to use her own vulnerability to get that point across. Not afraid to laugh at herself, Lynda keeps the mood light, but make no mistake; you will work hard in her classes. Always different, every class will have varying focus on bringing awareness to the breath, delving into physical asana/ flow sequences, and meditation. Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, Lynda has the knack of often leaving you with some little takeaway to carry with you off the mat. As a life-long learner, Lynda continues to take workshops and trainings to further her knowledge and she is also slowly chipping away at achieving a childhood goal of completing her degree in Psychology.
