Saturday 8am-10am Master Class
Inverted State of Mind is an invitation to embrace the unexpected, to step beyond familiar patterns, and to explore the possibilities of your practice with curiosity and creativity.
The practice begins with a dynamic warm-up, incorporating active stretching and strengthening to prepare your body for the journey ahead. Moving through foundational sun salutations, you’ll build a cohesive flow that evolves into creative sequences, seamlessly leading toward peak postures or a central theme. Expect to explore innovative transitions, playful variations of traditional poses, and opportunities to test your limits while staying rooted in intention and awareness.
Miles’ teaching reflects his deep curiosity for how diverse movement practices can enrich yoga. Drawing from the structure of Ashtanga and Rocket Vinyasa, and inspired by his love for hand balancing, mobility, and strength training, he creates a practice that blends discipline with exploration. This unique approach offers students a chance to not only deepen their practice but to reimagine what’s possible for their bodies and minds.
Saturday 1:30pm-4pm
Solar Awakening - The Creation and Art of Backbends
This workshop is all about creating space in your backbends, building both strength and openness within them that is geared towards stability and pain-free.
Here, Miles shares his knowledge accumulated from both his own exploration and research as well as that which he has learnt working with flexibility and contortion coaches. You will learn how to position and move your spine and the contributing joints correctly to enhance basic positions as well as work towards more advanced ones, the anatomy of backbends to which muscles need to be engaged and lengthened, and specific techniques and exercises to create and a support a backbend practice.
The workshop is catered to support a variety of levels except complete beginners. It is important to note that the ability to perform deep backbends is not a prerequisite but we do recommend having a comfortable wheel pose.
SUNDAY 8am-10am Master Class 2
This masterclass will build upon everything we have already covered during the weekend.
Sunday 1:30pm-4pm
The Inverted State - Handstands
In this workshop, Miles will teach you the fundamentals and basics of handstands, helping you to build a firm foundation and understanding of the art of hand balancing that is both safe and effective in helping you build and progress your handstand practice.
You will go through the technical groundwork needed for mastering handstands, gaining insight into the proper alignment principles for a straight-line handstand. You’ll work with different balancing, alignment, and conditioning exercises and learn how to use the wall effectively rather than it becoming a clutch.
This workshop is for beginner and intermediate students who can hold a 20-second handstand against the wall. For beginners, it’s a chance to go deeper into your handstand practice and walk away knowing to practice confidently. For the more intermediate, it’s an opportunity to refine the basics and improve control in the upside down
